What deal memory tracks

Deal memory is the brief Dopia keeps on every deal — what it covers, where each line came from, and when it looks again.

Deal memory is the brief Dopia keeps on every deal. Instead of scrolling a raw timeline of emails and meetings, you open the deal and read where it stands right now — and what just changed.

What it covers

It is assembled from every captured signal on the deal (see Companies, contacts and deals) — email, meetings and their recordings, payments if Stripe is connected, and any LinkedIn or X messages you've shared and attached to the deal — and it rewrites itself as new ones land. It covers:

  • At a glance and How it started — who is involved, what they are buying, and how the conversation began.
  • What's happened — the moments that moved the deal, in order.
  • Where it stands — the state of the conversation today, and the next move.
  • Customer intel — what the buyer cares about and how they like to work.
  • Risks & open items — a thread gone quiet, an unanswered question, a date that slipped.
  • Health — a score from 0 to 100 for how likely the deal is to close, which also shows as the Health column on the Deals table.

Every line has a source

A summary you can't check is a summary you can't repeat to anyone. Lines in deal memory carry numbered sources: click one to open the email, the recording or the payment it was written from. The list under the memory — Based on N sources — is the same set, numbered the same way.

If an email doesn't belong on this deal, choose Remove on its row. It comes off the deal, and off its deal memory with it.

When it looks again

Each time deal memory updates, it also decides when the deal next deserves a look — a date someone promised, a renewal coming up, or simply a pause that has gone on too long — and checks back on that day by itself. The date and the reason sit at the foot of the memory as Next check. Nothing asks you to do anything when it fires; if the fresh read finds a move, it lands in what needs you.
