Why Dopia needs your email and calendar

A revenue engine cannot run on what you remember to type. Your mailbox and calendar are where selling actually happens — this is what connecting them buys.

Every CRM you have used was out of date, and it was not your fault. It only knew what someone stopped to type into it, and the week you are busiest is the week nobody stops.

Meanwhile the real record already exists. The deal is in a thread. The commitment is in an invite. The reason it stalled is in a reply you sent at eleven at night. None of that was ever missing — it was just somewhere the CRM could not see.

Connecting your mailbox and calendar is what lets Dopia see it. It is the one connection everything else in the product is built on, and it is why this is not a database you keep tidy.

What it buys you

A CRM you did not fill in. Dopia reads back about a year of mail and meetings. The companies you have been emailing become companies, the people at them become contacts, and your live threads become deals with a stage, a value and a close date.

A memory with something in it. Every record's memory is assembled from these conversations. That is what makes a draft come back specific to the deal instead of generic — it has read the thread and the meeting first.

A day the product already knows about. Your calendar drives Coming up on Home, the brief you get before a meeting, and the debrief written after it.

Numbers that are not self-reported. A stage moves because the thread moved, not because someone remembered to drag a card.

What Dopia does not do with it

Your mailbox is connected to your assistant, and only you can see it. On this route your assistant reads, files and tells you — replying is not something it can do there, so a connected mailbox never means a surprise email. You can cut the connection in Settings → Connections at any time, and capture stops immediately.

One assistant binds to one provider: Gmail or Outlook, not both. The mailbox you connect becomes the address anything you later approve is sent from.

Next: making the connection

That is the why. Connect your email and calendar is the ninety seconds it takes, and what to expect while the first read-back runs.
