Introduction to navigating Dopia
Where everything lives — the sidebar, the Home screen, and the two panels on the right that carry your day.
Dopia has one screen you will spend most of your time on — Home — and a sidebar that holds everything else. This article walks the layout once, so the rest of the handbook can name a place and assume you know where it is.
The sidebar
Left edge, top to bottom:
- Home — your day. Everything below is where things are kept; this is where things happen. A badge here counts what is waiting for you.
- Routines — the recurring jobs that run on a schedule, like the morning brief. See Routines.
- Library — recordings, transcripts and meeting debriefs.
- Records — Companies, Contacts and Deals, the three tables your CRM is made of. See Dopia's data model.
- Recents — your recent conversations with Dopia. The New chat button above starts another; View all opens the full history.
- Your profile, at the bottom — the way into Settings, including the connections that feed everything else.
The Home screen
Home is split down the middle.
The left side is where you ask for things. A greeting, a headline counting what needs you today, and a message box. Anything you would ask a colleague to look into, you type here — find me buyers who look like this, what happened with Acme, draft the follow-up from yesterday's call. There is also a record button for starting a meeting recording on the spot.
The right side is where things arrive. Two panels, stacked:
- Coming up, on top — your calendar for the next few days. Click any day to open it in place; the footer row is the way to your booking link.
- Your desk, below it — where you stand against your number, and everything that is asking for your attention. See Your desk.
You can collapse the whole right side, reorder the two panels, or hide one — the Customize control sits above them.
Records, in one line each
- Companies — the organisations you sell to.
- Contacts — the people at them.
- Deals — the specific opportunities, each with a value, a stage and a close date.
Open any row and you get that record's page: its fields on one side, its living memory of every email, meeting and call on the other.
Chat, and where it lives
You do not have to start on Home. Every conversation you begin becomes its own session under Recents, and you can return to it later — the work Dopia did inside it, including anything still waiting for your approval, stays there.
Settings, briefly
Settings is where you connect the things Dopia reads from — your mailbox and calendar, Stripe, your workspace members and plan. The two that matter on day one are covered in Email & calendar sync and Revenue sync.
