Where your revenue number comes from

Your mailbox tells Dopia what is happening. It cannot tell it what actually landed. That lives in one place only: the system that took the money.

This matters more than it sounds. A target measured against deals someone remembered to mark Closed Won is a guess wearing a number's clothes. Where you stand is only worth reading every morning if the figure under it came from money that moved.

What arrives

Connect Stripe — read-only, so Dopia can never move money or change anything in your account — and your existing book of business walks in. Every paying customer becomes a company and a contact. Each subscription becomes a deal, and real payments carry it to Closed Won with the amount and the date taken from Stripe instead of guessed.

From that point the number on Home is your revenue, not your reporting.

The part people do not expect

It does not stop at recording what already happened. Because Dopia can see when each subscription comes up, it starts putting work in front of you:

• A renewal deal appears sixty days before the period ends, valued at what that customer actually pays, closing on their renewal date, owned by whoever won them in the first place.
• A save deal appears the moment someone sets their subscription to cancel. It carries no value, because this one is not new revenue — it is a customer you are about to lose.

Neither is a notification that scrolls away. They are deals, in your pipeline, sitting beside everything else you are working.

What it will not do

A won deal is history. When a customer churns, Dopia does not reach back and un-win the deal that closed last quarter — that revenue really happened. The loss is recorded going forward instead, so a period you already reported does not move under you.
