Dopia glossary

Plain-language definitions of the terms used across Dopia — and what each one maps to on screen.

A quick reference for the terms used throughout this handbook. Each links to where it is explained in full.

The big ideas

  • Agentic revenue engine — what Dopia is: a system that captures your conversations, keeps a record of every customer current on its own, and does the work between conversations, while you keep the decisions. See Introduction.
  • Signal — any raw input that says something about a customer: an email, a meeting, a call, a chat message, a payment.
  • Capture — Dopia reading those signals where they happen and filing them against the right record, so you never log anything by hand.
  • Memory — the continuously updated archive behind a record: everything that has ever involved that customer, re-read as new signal arrives. What the agents work from. See Dopia's data model.

What you see in the product

  • Records — the three tables your CRM is made of:
    • Company — an organisation you sell to, keyed on its domain.
    • Contact — a person at one, keyed on their email.
    • Deal — a specific opportunity, with a stage, a value and a close date.
  • Stage — where a deal sits: Lead, Qualified, Demo, Proposal, Negotiation, Closed Won, Closed Lost.
  • Forecast category — how confident a deal is: Pipeline, Best Case, Commit, Closed, Omitted. Drives the forecast on Your desk.
  • Your desk — the panel on Home carrying your number and everything asking for your attention. Headed Where you stand in the app today. See Your desk.
  • Suggestion — a move an agent has prepared on a deal, waiting for you to take it or hand it back.
  • Booking link — a link you share so people can grab time on your calendar without the back-and-forth. See Your booking link.

How the work gets done

  • Your assistant — the private AI bound to your own mailbox and calendar, acting under your identity. Only you can see it. See Your assistant.
  • Routine — a recurring job your assistant runs on a trigger or a schedule, like the morning brief or a meeting debrief. See Routines.
  • Approval — the gate on anything addressed to a customer. Drafts wait for your click; work that only changes what Dopia knows runs on its own.
  • Chat — the direct way to work with Dopia: ask in plain language and it acts on your real records rather than pointing you at a doc.

Where you work

  • Workspace — your Dopia account: the records, connections and members that belong to you and your team.
  • Sync — a connected source feeding records in. Email & calendar brings the conversations; Connect Stripe brings what Stripe knows.
