Companies, Contacts & Deals

The three records Dopia is built around — what each one holds and how they connect into a single picture of your pipeline.

Everything in Dopia organizes around three records: Companies, Contacts, and Deals. They're the nouns of your pipeline, and almost everything else — captured email, meetings, the Live Dossier — hangs off one of them.

The three records

Companies

A company is an organization you're selling to. Its record gathers everyone you know there, every deal in flight, and the full history of contact.

Contacts

A contact is a person — a buyer, champion, or influencer. Contacts belong to companies and carry their own thread of email, chat, and meeting history.

Deals

A deal is a specific opportunity, with a stage, a value, and the people involved. The deal is where the Live Dossier lives, because the deal is the thing you're trying to move.

How they connect

The three records link together: a company has many contacts; a contact can be on many deals; a deal rolls up to a company. That's why a single email can update the contact, surface on the deal, and enrich the company all at once.

Working with lists

Each record type opens as a list you can sort and filter — by stage, value, created date, or any attribute. Hover a row for quick actions, or open a record to see its full history and dossier.

What the dossier tracks

The Live Dossier is Dopia's continuously updated brief on a deal — what it watches, and how to read it at a glance.
